10thplanet Events FAQ

10thplanet have been organizing one day events, store signings and conventions since 1998. We also support other events with guests and as specialist retailers in Cult Film and TV Shows. We are well known on the fan circuit and produce events for all types of budgets.
  • Accommodation
    If it is a two day convention there is usually hotel rooms available on the site of the venue.

  • Registration
    This will usually start from 8am we will get through the registration process as soon as possible, what really helps is if you remember your Registration Number Letter.

  • The Promotion of other Events
    Please note the promoting of other events is strictly forbidden, this means no t-shirts, flyers, posters or any other form of promotional products unless it has been authorized by 10th Planet. If you are found to be promoting other events we will ask you to leave the convention.

  • Event Times
    The event starts at 9am with a brief introduction onstage, the first batch of events begin at 9.30am. The show will run all day on both days with an hour lunch break and we aim to finish at approximately at 5.30pm on Sunday with a photo call and goodbyes with any actors who are able to stay behind.

  • Planned Activities
    Throughout the day there will be hourly sessions of the following activities;
    Guest Talks and Q&A in the Main Hall
    Autograph Panels in the Gym
    The Coffee Lounge
    Our Photo Studio
    Merchandise Room selling all things Doctor Who
    Children's Fun Day Pass
    Evening Entertainment (Weekend events only)

  • Coffee Lounge
    Coffee Lounge tickets go on sale from the Ticket Office (Room TBA) from 9.00am, not all guests will be doing coffee lounge sessions which is why we do not pre-sell the tickets. The Coffee Lounge is a prime opportunity for you to get up close to the guests, usually there are between 10 and 20 people in the room, unlike in a large hall with 300 plus attendees! Ask the questions you want, get direct response from the actors!

    We have also removed the tables and chairs so it is less like a boardroom, instead we will have comfortable chairs with a table for coffee, tea, water and biscuits. On top of this you also get an extra autograph from the guest at that coffee lounge session while you are talking and can pose
    for photographs
    .

    The Coffee Lounge will last between 30 and 45 minutes. To attend any of the Coffee Lounge sessions all you need to do is buy a ticket, from the Ticket Office. These get snapped up fast so make sure you get yours! Each session is only £10 per person and all money raised goes to charity. Sorry no children under 10 are allowed in the coffee lounge sessions.

  • Photo Studio
    We all like souvenirs from a day out, either at the beach, on holiday or when visiting a theme park. As such at 10th Planet events we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to have your photo taken by a professional photographer.

    The Photo Studio is a prime opportunity for you to get a high quality color print with or without a cardboard sleeve.

    The Photo Studio is provided by TTL Productions.
    A4 - approximate. 10” x 8” Priced at £15
    A3 - approximate. 20” x 16” Priced at £20 (If this size is ordered it will be posted to you after the event as it needs special printing)

    A cardboard sleeve can be provided for A4 for an additional cost of £1.00. You can buy Photo Studio Tickets from the Ticket Office at the front desk. Tickets are on Sale at 8am on both days.

  • FREE Autographs
    10th Planet are pleased to offer you TWO free autographs per guest at all our conventions and one day events (Time permitting).

    Inside your convention pack you will find tickets titled 'Event Voucher' These vouchers are the only way to obtain your FREE autographs.

    PLEASE do not lose them you will not be given replacements.

    Upon entry to the signing zone please have your items ready for signing, if you want a dedication why not write this on a post it note to make it easier for the guest. The steward on hand will take your autograph vouchers for the guest/s you want to see entitling you to obtain your free autographs. You can buy extra autographs between £5 and £10 each from the Ticket Office.

    Please do not pose for photographs as this slows down the queue, think of the other attendees waiting in line behind you!
